Starting GWX
Hello I,m curently downloading Gwx [1.03 I think] I know this has been asked hundreds of times before. but what do I do I,m puting them in to a file in my documents called GWX, Is that right? What do I do next?
|
just wait 48 hours
After an initial donation period, GWX 2.0 is to be released to the general hungry public by tommorrow (I think).
1.3 was an update, 2.0 is a completely new package (just read the myriads of threads concerning the upcoming 2.0) So just wait a litte bit - OR EVEN BETTER - make a donation (using the donation button) and help Neal Stevens keep subsim alive (also thanking the GWX crew for their tremendous work over the years, for which they have never seen money, seldom commendation an lots of "naaahhhhh, that not good..... gimme else, gimme different, gimme new..." |
Sorrry, but thats not realy what I asked.
|
Thats fine; keep all the .bin files and the .exe file together in one folder (can be anywhere on your hard drive and folder name is irrelivant) then simpley run the .exe file and the installer wizard should take care of the rest - any problems let us know.
|
then I have to apologize (for post #2) - but I was wondering, why you were installing 1.03 one day before the general release of 2.0 (stupid me to think someone could have missed upcoming 2.0 while being on subsim).
Sorry (at least it says "Nub" not for nothin...) |
I have encountered a small problem Iv tryed to run it and I have the 1.4 patch but it says "it needs 1.4 unmodified" and there is no other mods just sh3 commander. :damn: :damn:
|
1) Uninstall SH3
2) delete the silent hunter 3 folder from C:\program files\Ubisoft 3) Reboot PC 4) Re-install SH3 5) Apply patch 1.4 6) Install GWX Might take you 20 minutes but you should be fine after that. |

Anyway, it's all been resolved. Merry Christmas rogorogo [you're not a New Zealander are ya ? 'rogoroga' has a NZ slant to it ?!] |

You are not confusing 'rogorogo' with our Fijian flying winger All Black Joe Rocokoko are you? :D |
While I'm here do any of you boffins know if it is possible to uninstall a GWX patch. I ask this because I'm having problems since applying the 1.03 patch over GWX 1.02. I am aware that the 1.03 patch is cumulative with all the other patches but has anyone else struck problems with patching GWX? :hmm:
Just after I choose where to install the patch it comes up with an error message saying that not all mods have been removed from JGSME but that is not true - I have disabled all my previous mods. Apologies if this has been asked before. |
@ kpt. munson
No, actually I'm Austrian (Austria, in Europe, no kangaroos, but lots of snow before global warming). I was only typing "any not taken" nic in, when registering - and once I googled my nic, and ...well... some chinese guys use that nic too..... and they are, well selling dvd copies... :nope: but thatīs not me thanx for the cheerup, anyway! P.S: offtopic - Fijian flying winger All Black Joe Rocokoko ? Whosthat? |
