NEAL Whassup with SubSim ???
 

Why is SubSim running so slow ? It took two minutes for Post New Thread to open and my last post took even longer.

Is something going on with the site or what ?


Yesterday was fine. It's been like this off and on this past few days.

Hope it's nothing serious.

I think Neal has had to split his bandwith because of the GWX 2.0 downloads.

Bloody heck Neal is going to be busy next week when GWX 2.0 goes on general release.

This is all fine and well but, the site is getting slower.

It took almost 3 minutes from the time I clicked quote untill the window opened to write this post or to open other posts.

The site seems to be getting slower and slower.

I'm all for GWX2 but this forum shouldn't suffer at slow speeds for it.

Maybe Neal can set up a time window for GWX2 D\L

I was getting slowdowns few days ago but its been fine ever since.

Maybe when the General release has started GWX2 can be DL somewhere else other than subsim.

:cool: If I'm correct
the General public release of GWX 2.0 will be on multiple servers(rapidshare,filefront etc etc),
uploaded by the GWX team itself so multiple sources are avaible when the day comes
and Subsim will not be affected by it.

yet again correct me if I'm wrong here.

@ Hunter IXC--I see your location is listed Malaga. have you ever been to Conil de la Frontera (about 30 km southeast of Cadiz)? I had some memorable moments there :hmm:.

And yes. There was some slow downs with subsim lately. Neal had to back off emails and DL's regarding GWX2. Seems to finely tuned now though. He's a Wizard with Bandwidth ;).

This' correct mate. There will be numerous mirrors set-up by the team, also a torrent will be an option. :up:
