eys question
Is is possible to make a key stroke do more then one thing & How?
when cruising on the surface and charging batteries you only have one prop pulslhing the boat & the other is still while it charges the batterys. If I need to crash dive I would llike to have the benifit of both props pushing me along. I would want to set up a key that would cause standard propulsion to kick in to get the speed necessary to dive the boat in the crash dive scenario... perhaps just one key for quickly going to standard propulsion & then after a few seconds hit the C key for crash dive. As it is now when you hit crash dive only one prop is turning & this slows things down... Any iddas on how I could do this? |
Hello Mate,-> Chief Engeneer ->standard mode will do thatRegards Dutchie-one

When you surface, one engine is reserved for recharging the batteries whilst the other one deals with propulsion :arrgh!: http://www.itsnature.org/forums/imag...s/wolfmoon.jpg http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...de/wolf-38.gif |
The real problem is, when a crash dive is ordered the first thing that happens is both diesels are shut down. Yes, you should have both props turning, but the max speed isn't going to exceed 8 knots.

Hello Mate, when crashdive is ordered both diesels goes on full speed
when changed to electric they also run on full speed till ordered otherwise Regards Dutchie-one  |
hmmmm...I guess I didn't word that very well...
I know that I can click on the cheif engineer and then click on the standard propulsion icon and then click on the "C" key for crash dive, but I want to just have one key...say the "0" key on the NUM LOCK to go to standard propulsion (cut out the chief) and then I can hit the crash dive key after the thing speeds up a bit with both screws going macht schnell... when I look at the screws from the outside view after I hit crash dive only one screw is turning if I am charging batteries at the time of ordering the crash dive... Are both of the screws suppose to start turning when you hit the "C" key ordering a crash dive? Perhaps my crash dive key is kaput... |

O.k. If my crash dive via either the C" key or the engineers emergency icon does "NOT" cause both screws to start turning at flank, then what could I do to fix that problem?

Hello Mate, perhaps Setkeys 1.1 will do that ,I am not sure I do not use that program.

When C is pressed 'in game', both electrics are at Full Ahead.....until ordered otherwise :arrgh!:
