New engine sounds!
Well, these aren't entirely new, but a tweaked version of WilhelmTell's Real Diesel Sound mod. The engine sounds in his mod are great because they are of authentic Fairbanks Morse engines, but they sound like you are standing in the engine room (odd when outside on the bridge or a few compartments ahead of the engines in the control room).
To make this a bit more real sounding, I removed most of the treble and enhanced the bass of the sounds, making for a beefy diesel rumble.
And as most of our boats were diesel-electric during the war, not direct-drive, the motors drove the sub 100% of the time. To simulate this, I overlayed the motor whine on top of the underwater diesel sound. NOTE: This sound is not accurate for S-class submarines, as they were direct drive.
I also combined the surfacing sound from G ünther Hessler's excellent Ultimate Sound Mod with the sound of the diesels starting, once again, from Real Diesel Sound.
