Underwater view without..................
Hello, any idea how to change underwater view ? I don't like this
"underwater" effect, hard to say, I prefer SH3 like view without optic changes, standard...... Best Regards Koci |
Hi. Just go into your Filters folder and look for Underwater.pfx file. Open it and change the intensity setting to zero. ;)
|
how to remove the underwater effects
to remove: Plankton - go here and download my "eliminate floating plankton" mod Underwater distortion - open data/ misc folder then delete the "turbulence.dds" file Plants and rocks - open data/ library and delete the "undersea.dat" and "vegetation_kit.dat" files |
Thank You very much :-)
Best Regards Stary Wuj |
When I removed impurity.dds could no longer see under water, only a blue texture with light rays, no acean floor or sub!:-? I put it back and all ok, taking out the turbulence.dds & underwater_disp_map.dds files stops the distortion effect but the texture above waterline is hazy with lines, this may be because I have post processing on. So I will leave as is.:yep:

I want to remove the Jello-look underwater. Do these solutions do the same thing? |
try each one at a time to see if you get the desired results.
|
Ah the jello effect is from the ROW mods:
ROW Textures without Sun Halo camera flair vs_4 ROW Textures with Sun Halo camera flair vs_4 Just disable the mod (asume you use JSGME) then go to the mods data\misc folder and delete/remove the 2 files: impurity.dds underwater_disp_map.dds then enable the mod, I would suggest renaming the mod to exclude "camera flair". Hope that helps & hope LepVampire & others don't mind me posting this. Cheers. |
If your talking about the annoying visual refraction of the submarine while submerged, then simply do this. it worked for me. i hated that feature
Open Underwater.pfx in your Silenthunter4\Data\Filters folder with notepad. Set the intensity UnderwaterDispMap from 0.025 to 0.000 |
Wonder if that would work on the blurred effect when useing external camera: go below water then go above, that distorted water effect, on scope as well, I would like to remove, or better, tone down!:yep:
Edit: Nope! |
