HMS Hood sunk on Sept 4, 1939
I was on my first patrol in GWX 2 and after a very fruitfull 2 days in the canal, I decided to venture towards a port on the SE coast of England. It was dark, overcast and medium seas so I crept in at 2 knots at 12m of depth. I got close enough to notice this sitting in the port
http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/i...h3/hmshood.jpg I crept closer for about 30 minutes so i was close enough to get a good shot http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/i...sh3/target.jpg I fired 2 fish set at 2m depth at about a 4 degree spread http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/images/sh3/hit1.jpg Hit 2 http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/images/sh3/hit2.jpg 2 was all it took. http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/i.../goingdown.jpg http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/i...goingdown2.jpg A quick confirmation followed by fish #3 just for good measure http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/i.../confirmed.jpg And another one bites the dust.. http://mysite.verizon.net/turnkey1/i...3/hooddone.jpg I crept out of the harbor at 2 knots for over 2 hours and headed safely towards my patrol area.. unfortunately with only 5 fish and about 40 88mm rounds left aboard. I'm sure the Royal Navy didn't have a good day today. Tool. |

Event Cam detected.
Always thought of that thing like an annoying relative. Good old steamers in the dark. :arrgh!: |

Blow them out of the water
That's a well-spent expenditure of torpedos.
The workers of the ammunition factory are proud of you! To say it with one of Tarjak's great posters: http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...pganda16-1.jpg |
Yea, one of these days i'm going to turn event cam off. Sometimes they do make for some nice screenshots though...
