A piece of ****...

Did the topic catch you?? :) Nothing bad said about anyone or anything, just wondering if anyone knows about a sub skin that looks like.....yes...."a pice of ****" or junk, whatever you wanna call it. Like alot of brown rusty spots. Or maybe it looks like the boat had been repaired many times and have been leaking alot....taking hits by naval guns??

Yep, got my attention fast; thought it was another "I hate xxx" thread.

There is one out there, but I can't remember who did it - I might have it but my computer is in storage and my flash drive doesn't work with the one I'm on.

But don't lose heart - someone has it or knows the correct link, and it will turn up.

Get Foofighters skins: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=113835

BTW, from a historical perspective, US subs did not get "a lot of brown rusty spots" or be allowed to look like they went to hell and back. Refit intervals and dry-docking for repaints, etc prevented it.

It must have taken a lot of work to keep the boats up to scratch, remember what the ships returning from the Falklands war looked like, and they were not out that long! Personaly I would love a nicely worn and worked boat, but I must also say I realy do not like the skins they are using on the ships for SH4. they just look so painted and cartooney. Can't quite describe it.
