Wierdness is going on.

I don't know what's been going on with my SHIII lately (It may have to do with the stellar career that I'm having at the moment which is breaking any past reccord I've ever had). First off, every other time that I've been running the game, our old friend Starforce pops up to ask me to type in the code for the CD.

Seccond, every other time that it loads, when the sub loads into existance, I get the sound of a windy gale blasting through the sub even when I dive underwater. The effect is quite hilarious as I expect to see my chief engineer's hat go flying off, but it's also annoying. I told Bernard to turn off that industrial stength fan, but it's still very windy sounding inside the sub.

I just did an erase and reinstall but that doesn't seem to be stopping it. Any ideas ?

I've been having problems with my sound as well. I wonder if it has anything to do with saving a game in port or under the water...

All my saves have been above water so that's not it. It's really funny that when you go inside my U-boat when the bug is happening that the wind is roaring more fiercely in there than it is outside... even when submerged. Funny the maps and papers don't blow all over the command room.

Maybe it's the new bathroom fan I had Bernard purchase and install for our crew for this outting. *shrug*.:hmm:

The Starforce thing is beginning to REALLY tick me off though.

at least with me anyway the only times i have had the sound topside still present when I'm submerged is when i have paused the game while on the surface and dropped down to the desk top and back into the game,

Probably has something to do with pressure differentials.

Nope. The only mods I'm running is GWX 1.4.. Active mods from that are: English Nav Map and Grid Ref's, Integrated Orders, Late War Sensors/Snorkle, Lite Harbor Traffic, Das Boot into movie, Reduced Positive Boyancy.
The only other mod I'm running is Torpedo Damage Final.

My ship just went down with all hands a few minutes ago. so I'm killing my current captain and starting a new career with a new crew. We'll see if deleting this career and starting with a fresh one helps.
