need a little help...

How do i remove the waving effect when i see the sub under water externally?
And did anyone do a prop mod?

Are you running any mods currently.

Edit: The stock file for this is located in Data/Misc there should be a file called 'undrewater disp map'. If you have a mod that affects this, make sure you are in port, delete this file in the mod then when you reactivate the mod you should be good to go.

* Remember, you are not deleting the stock file, but the file in the mod.

"You can get rid of that effect easily.
Open Underwater.pfx in your SilentHunter4 \Data\Filters folder with notepad.
Set the intensity of UnderwaterDispMap to 0.000 .
That's all. You can play now without underwater distortion"... Thanks to WilhelmTell for the answer.

You need the 'underwater disp map' for the water cascading effects on the periscope lens when it comes out of the water...so don't delete it.

why do you "need" the water cascading effects on the periscope lens when it comes out of the water?

do you mean as in just in order to keep the effect or is it needed by the game?

Try this...

The 'underwater disp map' is "needed" by the game engine so it can render the cascading water effect that flows over the periscope lens as it is raised out of the water....
