Loss of torpedoes

I've just installed SH4 WoP and patched it.

I'm in my first patrol transiting from Pearl to Hokido to drop an agent.

I'm cruising on the surface at 11kts at a high time compression c2048.

(I'm sitting at my PC reading a book whilst waiting to get to Hokido - not near the keyboard)

The following is what I am getting from the crew.
1505hrs. Firing tube 1
1510hrs Torpedo in the water.
1515hrs Torp missed .
1521hrs Firing tube 1 .
1527hrs Torp in the Water.
1608hrs Firing tube 1
1614hrs Torp in the Water.
1620hrs Torp Missed
1626hrs Firing tube 1.
1632hrs Torp in the water
1637hrs Torp missed
1644hrs Firing tube 1
1650hrs Torp in the water
1635hrs Torp missed.

At this point I exited the game.

Any clues?

Either the enter key is being held down or the computer thinks the enter key is being held down.

I agree. Maybe you need to reboot or you have a problem with your keyboard or have a game key mapper activated. Might also be your joystick doing it.
