medals issue
 

I did a quick search regarding this already, tried the solution there, but to no avail. Have been awarded the Knight's Cross in Gold with Swords, Oak Leaves, and Diamonds, but oddly no Clasps or German Cross in Gold. I always dock in harbor and am not using any mods.

Have not patched yet as I just started playing SH3 last week asn really enjoy it. Already into 1942, what a hoot!

Any idea why the medals went out of order and how does one go about correcting it?

A question that I have is how does one get or earn the medals. I have a few, but I am not sure which ones I have and do not have.

if i recall the medals are awarded based on total renown.

so if you go out and sink ships and patrol assigned grids and return to port instead of "warping" back to port etc etc you accumulate renown (as we all know) but if you dont spend a great deal of renown on equipment upgrades then your total renown accumulates faster.

i cant remember the exact numbers, and they are somewhere around here im sure of it, but there have been times where i have received more than one medal at a time simply because my total renown encompassed all of the renown requirments for both medals. (hope that makes sense)

hang in there, the German Cross in gold and the front clasp are among the last medals awarded... they will be awarded to you based on your total renown.

in the headquarters screen go to the captains desk with the phone on it there is a little wooden box that looks liek a cigar box, click it, it opens revealing the medals you have and there are blank spots for the ones you dont have.

thanks, but that ddi not even list the GCG or the Front Clasp, and I saw a post where there it was in a fellow's medal box...unless you mean the last part regarding the 30k renown line?
