Got to feel sorry for this guy...

He donates his sperm to a lesbian couple so they can have a child, with an agreement that he woun't have to take any responability for rasing the child or giving any monentary support.

What to guess what happens?:damn::damn:

Got to feel a little sorry for him!!:-?

I don't feel remotely sorry for him. How dumb is it to do something like that and not have something in writing to confirm the agreement he made? In the UK, if you do this sort of thing via clinics, the CSA's claim cannot be applied, so he's only really got himself to blame. You'd think a firefighter would know about taking precautions.

Well how about feeling sorry for his wife and kids then?

Didn't say I didn't sympathise with those around him, but that's a different matter entirely, and one which points up the pitfalls of the CSA and doing this sort of thing in the first place!

He can tie the CSA up in legal tape, we all know the CSA is a bloody joke that ever so many years pops up on the news.

I feel sorry for him.... if me and my partner had kids through IVF with a donor because i hypothetically had no sperm cells, and then broke up we wouldnt have the right to ask the donor for child support would we.

There no difference at all as far as im concerned. I dont see a need for there to be any monetary obligation to the donor.... I think its just a crock and has reinforced my personal view that same-sex couples shouldnt have kids through unnatural means. Particularly where this follows a case in Melbourne where to women sued a doc cos they had twins from IVF and it caused them to "stop living each other".

I'd like to say I feel sorry for him but he should have had something in writting.

Especially when dealing with two women!

I have to parrot Reaves here. Yes, I think he got the shaft, and I feel sorry for him, but you should always get it in writing! With a lawyer present!:dead:

Something in writing wouldnt matter to the CSA
It would just prove the claim he is the biological father in their eyes

A clinic is the only way to go in those situations as donors are guaranteed anonymity

They ( CSA ) are an inhuman bunch at best
