Fling under radar
 

This last patrol, #3 with patch 1.4, I've gottn a few jap airplane fling under the radar an I only gottn notice of it by my lookouts. This scared the S*IT out of me since they were almost apon me an crash diving wasn't enough to get away without any damage. If the devs put this in as a little bonus, for the japs, it's gonna make me pick the best lookout crew I can get my hands on.....

Yes, I've occasionally seen the aircraft flying under the radar for short periods blinking in and out. I don't wait for them to get close unless I'm wanting some target practice. They rarely catch me at short range. If I'm deep in enemy territory on the surface, I keep the AA gun manned and all the gun options activated so I can at least shoot back while I start the dive process.

Wonder if the devs ever thought to work in near-sighted kamikazes pilots who mistake you for an aircraft carrier? :hmm:
