Depth Mod?

I've been away from SH4 for some time (went back to SHIII for a while), and came back since 1.4.

However, I'm still a bit....ticked....that stock "insta-kill" depths are so shallow. Is there any mod out there that more accurately depicts the crush depths? I'm kinda upset that my new (and undamaged) Balao-class submarine keeps on getting insta-killed right when it gets to 400ft.

Check this thread:

[EDIT] mrbeast beat me to it...

No, that's not what I mean.

I mean, I know that an undamaged, just out of harbor, Balao submarine should reach 400ft without a problem, right? And yet, every time I try to take it to 400ft, I get insta-killed just around 400ft.

I can understand having crush depth change AFTER damage is taken, but when I have NO damage, I should be able to make it deeper than 400ft in a Balao, shouldn't I?

So is there a mod out there that more accurately depicts the REAL crush depths?

Nope. Not yet. The thread discusses the fact that in both damaged and undamaged conditions, subs are crushed for being below depth for some period of time...

That's odd. Once when I was DCed, And I sank to 2500 ft. I did get crushed. But not at 400 feet. And I wasn't even in a Baleo. I was in a Gato.

Thats odd, my balao can hold a depth of 530 feet or so just fine. :)

Do you have NSM installed? Can we see if NSM makes a difference to this stuff as it focuses on flooding not HP.
