I raided a port before England declared war!!
 

Yes thats right I did what many have talked about, raiding a port before the English declare war. I got into Hartlepool on September 2, 1939 at around 09:45 and on the surface too. It felt some what odd to see an english destoryer that wasn't trying to blow me out of the water. But I got into position and lined up a nice medium cargo. At night we stayed under then the ports name went from green to red( from neutral to enemy). I sunk the cargo and got out of there. I got depth charged a little but only enough to scratch the paint only to find out later that the destoryer who was trying to kill me instead blew up its own depth charge racks instead!!:doh: :88)

Would indeed be strange seeing British DD's not trying to kill you.

Muderer?! The time that I sunk the merchant was on the follow day September 3rd the same day that the BDU said the U-Boats a to start warfare on merchant shipping only.

Well for now I command the U-52. But I'll make sure a get the U-869 and make sure it survives the war intact.

is it exactly 03/11/1939 00:00 in SH3? And same in reality?

I know that the very early days(!) of the war are the best time to slip through the channel...i even sunk a (at this time neutral) british destroyer on the way once...i never got such a clean shot again...
