Hi!

There is a page on the SH3 Community Wiki that addresses this question. It may be of some help.

wasn't there a fix where you didn't have to go thru all that window$ crap?

danlisa 11-28-07 02:36 PM

Provided you are running XP + SP2, this is the easiest resolution fix available.

http://files.filefront.com/SH3+XPSP2.../fileinfo.html

However, the is still no widescreen support, so your dials & crew may get a little 'squashed' if you are applying this to a widescreen monitor.

SHIII.sdb
SP2 Rez Fix Uninstall.bat
SP2 Rez Fix.bat

Copy ALL of these into the SH3 Program Folder.

1) Run SP2 Rez Fix.bat
2) Then open d3d9.cfg & set the resolution & screenshot path.

That's it, your finished.:up:

Anything else you want to know?

TarJak 11-29-07 06:38 PM

What screen res have you got set for your desktop? Then want res have you set in d3d9.cfg? They must match.

panzer 49th 11-29-07 06:45 PM

1400x900 Desktop

resX=1400
resY=900
(in d3d9.cfg)

Is this correct?

the error I get is

"SH3 has encountered an error and needs to close"

I click "more info"

It tells me

(Appname "Sh3.exe" Modname "d3d9.dll")

How can I fix this I followed all steps tried reinstalling tried rebooting tried doing it over several times but still no joy.

Also another problem I have is that it refuses to change the resolution even though I changed it in the d3d9.cfg it stays the same.

Hanomag 11-29-07 09:50 PM

Dont feel bad, me too...and I'm running at 1680x1050 :o

panzer 49th 11-30-07 09:05 AM

Ok I fixed it but the strange part is is that it will noly work if I use the resolution of

1280x800 then it works fine and it looks great too.
