Finally Cracked it.
 

Thinking about my Warburton's War IL-2 movie I couldn't find a twin engine plane to take the place of the Maryland...Then I found the G-4 Betty. I bet with a good skin I could make it look a lot like the Maryland...What do you guys think?

Need to get the Warby book to get a time line to film the most significant events.

First I think is his arrival in Malta
Then the photogtaphs of Italian shi[ps at Taranto.

Then Recon along the Libyan coast.

REad the book but I'm trying to find instances again where he got his action and kills.

Which IL-2 map is for Malta or closest to it?

You might want to give this campaign a try. It uses the Hawaii Island to mimick Malta. You could open up the mission and remove all the planes etc. and put in what you need.

But my only concern with it is that if it used the reconnaisance camo, it would've been all light brown, without the camo stripes. Atleast that's what I've seen in drawings. :hmm:
