Merged: "Fist-sized crack": Ship Sinking Near Antarctica
Antarctic cruise ship evacuated
More than 150 passengers and crew have been rescued from a tourist ship, after it hit ice off Antarctica. "The M/S Explorer hit a lump of ice off King George Island this morning and the impact left the vessel with a crack in the hull the size of a fist." BBC News |
Reminds me of the Titanic. Let see though, a modern day vessel with better quality steel in the hull and it cracked anyway. Many said the Titanics steel hull was subpar and this is the reason it cracked. Hmmmm....not so sure now. :hmm:

Made in Finland:oops: But old, 1969 it was the first one then.

Damn, Letum. Could you have used a better thread title?
You don't want to know what went through my mind when I saw this thread.:arrgh!: |

I made the topic title in total innocence by quoting the BBC. I see nothing unusual. /got my ass coverd (Had I known of any innuendoes) who could resist? ;) Not the online editor of the BBC news apparently! :rotfl: |

Ssshh... if anyone asks, let's just blame the poor maintenance at their end. :yep::rotfl: |
The first survivor to start singing "My Heart Will Go On" gets put back on the ship. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Updated pictures showed on the news. The ship is really going down...about ready to turn turtle. |
Awwwwwwww!
The BBC just changed "Fist-sized crack" to "Fist-sized hole". Looks like I wasn't the only one to notice. |

Is there really any difference from 'crack' to 'hole'? |
