I thought you reloaded torps a bit faster with everybody on the job.

All compartments function at maximum efficiency (including the damage control team), so besides faster torpedo reloading, you get faster gun reloading and faster repairs.

What i find strange is : when you are in battle stations and go to silent running ...the crew stops loading fish and thats ...buth the guy's with the wrenches keep getting on with there maintenancejobs and thats  IMHO.

The problem is forgetting to call the battle stations off after the attack is done. And hitting time compression after that.

If you have Battle Stations and Silent Running activated your torps won't load and your Damage Control team won't repair stuff. Turn SR off to get the advantages of activating BS. Also, BS automatically activates DC, so if you don't need DC, turn that off after activating BS.

A whole lot of DC, SR, BS in that paragraph.:88)

Would be good if a it warned you with a pop up that told you the crew have been at BS for x amount of hours and asks if you want the crew to stand down.

I like this part of the game, it forces you to stay on the ball :yep:

I run many drills to keep my crew in tip top condition for the real. :ping:

I'm only a virtual submariner w/no real world experience, so I don't know how it would be on a real boat, but I have to assume the Chief would be the one to bring this kind of thing to the skipper's attention (correct me if I'm wrong guys). If that could be modded into the sim it would be great, but I think a pop up dialog box, or something like it, would really take away from the all powerful immersion factor. I'd love to see more overall interaction with the crew, and hopefully we'll see that either in 1.4, the add-on pack, or in what I'm sure will be fantastic mods after the release of the two. :yep:

I don't mind having a few mb heavier patch with that implemented. A pop-up, definitely not.
Someone call Ubisoft! The Chief is no longer sober!:arrgh!:
