We had a guy in Pizza Hut adds who went down in a similar way. Although to be honest his 'drug habits' would have made a large chunk of the customers identify with him anyway so I don't know why they sacked him.

That of course reminds me of the ultimate advertising fall from grace: Mikhail Gorbachev, former Soviet leader, appearing in a Pizza Hut ad.

I hope the doobie was worth it.

He was famous for being in a pizza hut commercial, I don't think that a Uni degree is part of the resume for that job. :p

His name was Dougie if I recall correctly boys.

Don't ask me why he became famous but he started turning up on entertainment and late night shows along with the Footy show and other programs. He may have also been in one of those stupid soaps such as Home and Away or Neighbours. In any case he provided plenty of good material for the comics. We all used to joke that instead of turning up at your door with pizza it would be baggies of weed.
