[req] ID target
Hi there captains...
Is it possible to mod the ID target as seperate option. I do not use manual targeting, so every time I use my periscope and move over a target, I can see what type of ship it is. Would it be possible to serperate the ID part. So non manual targeting users can also enjoy indentifying ships. |
good question
I can see and totaly understand what our saying here. I too would be interested in knowing this one. I like you do not do a manual targeting in game but would like to be able to tell the crew what type of ship it is then have the game figure out the rest of it.
 If you find this out Foo can you get the info to me as well?! Dave |
Excellent idea, Foo
I, too, would be interested in this. I don't know if I know enough about the game files to say whether it can be done or not, but it can sure be looked at.

Identify Target
This is not my fix, but it works ok.
Do not know if some mods make changes to this file but you can change what you want. Backup your data\cfg\commands.cfg file somewhere & make the changes you require (using notepad) Editing fire torpedo to ctrl+enter saves accidental firings. Some may not work but identify target seems ok. It only works when you use manual targeting. If you use auto targeting, the ship is always ID'ed. I will keep you informed of my findings. |
