Mods
I have read most of the instructions...just want to make sure I'm doin this right...
If mods are GWX compatible just unpack and drop in the mod folder and they are GTG??? I usually use SH3 with GWX. |
Not really, you must use the Generic mod enabler for them to be enabled. http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products.html
Download, and put the mods in the MODS directory, launch JSGME, add the mod (provided the mod is JSGME compatible, most are), run the game. |
As a rule of thumb "graphical mods" that alter skins and coulours are fine with GWX. Mods that alter cfg and game files can cause problems.
GWX comes with JSGME already installed. If you want to try a mod just drop it in the MODS folder (it must be in a JSGME format though) and enable it (make sure you have Rollback SH3Cmdr and you're in port first). If you like it fine. If you don't like it you can disable it and keep your "original installation". |
So I can run JSGME an SH3 at the same time..or no?
