2D resources for the Mission Editor
hey guys, I've been working on some Aleutian Island scenarios and the "stock" water depths in the Mission Editor are making me crazy. I'm seeing <150 depths in places where it should be a LOT deeper. :damn:
So, I've been looking around the SH4 install directory to find the world map and icons for the Mission Editor. I'd like to correct the world map so that it reflects more realistically the ocean depths, not only for the Aleutians but many other places as well. The /data/missioneditor directory has a number of 2d files, but I'm unable to find the world map. :damn: Any ideas? :hmm: Cheers! |
Not sure what you mean by adjust the map depths
The SH4 terrain is in the files contained in this folder C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Terrain\Data TerrainData.BFD and TerrainData.BFI The terrain governs the depth etc of the sea and maps the terrain There was a terrain editor made for SH3 which added the canals of Kiel\Panama and Suez As well as alterations to Heligoland and Scapa I dont think that editor works in SH4 though http://files.filefront.com/SH3Terrai.../fileinfo.html The terrain ed is dicussed here in great length May help May not http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=89658 |
Thx BBW for the links and info, the terrain files are what I was looking for...
