Sounds totally stupid?? a medal is sponsored by a formal authority ans is providing the formal thank-you for an above-usual performance.
How can some of them collide? I don't understand? Someone can explain? |
But think of the paperwork the government desk monkeys will have to do if they wear two medals!!!
How cruel of those soldiers to be so inconsiderate. Pfft it's not like they put their lives on the line for their country or anything. oh wait a sec.... |

I can see the logic.
Wearing two medals that are both for the same action isn't really on. |
Wear the little one on top of the bigger one.

That is like a state visit - and only one flag being shown. |

Medals are not word so other people can "express their thankfulness". Else you should be able to wear multipul medals from different people showing the same thing. Medals are worn so that the person wearing them can show his glorious achievements. One glorious achievement: one medal. As it happens, my father was in Borneo in the 50s/60s. After failing to join the army due to his height, he followed some of his friends in the SAS over to Borneo where he was armed and served with them on long Jungle patrols and occasional actions for the next few years. As he was not a official member of the armed forces he didn't receive any medals. |
