The 4 blade Prop fix

Someone was working on a fix for the subs props. The American subs had 4 blades not 3 like the German U-Boats. Who was working on this? I saw a post awhile ago.
This would be a nice addition to a mod.

Think the mod was an attempt to fix the direction that the screws spun, as in the game they are technically going backwards. The problem was that the screws were in the wrong place ie the port propeller was on the starboard shaft. It all got very complicated a provisional fix was produced but it simply made then appear to turn the correct way they were still on the wrong shafts or something.....:hmm: .....or were they turning the wrong way on the correct shafts? Or was it they were back to front? I can't remember  :damn:

Anyway it as decided that it would be too complicated to create new graphics for the screws with 4 bladed props. The 3 bladed props are actually correct for prewar boats but they were quickly replaced with the 4 bladed type. I think this was to do with reducing noise and cavitation from the screws. IIRC the 3 bladed were actually slightly more efficient.

Well I hope UBI took it upon themselves to fix with patch 1.4

I believe the sub props fix is included in ROW. Not the 4 blade request, but the direction issue.

Yup noticed that a little bit ago, 1 down 1 to go.

Does anyone notice (or care) that the props no longer spin in replays? It would be nice if this were fixed. It really ruins the movie making potential.
