But what happend if Blue Ray becomes the set standard for HD DVD's??? you just have and expensive DVD player!:hmm:

That will take awhile and there are still tons of movies being released only in HD right now... Either way, if you pick one or the other you are getting screwed, but you are also screwed if you don't get one at all!

Doubt that will be an issue considering the HD DVD is a superior spec - multi mpeg decoders and even decent CPU power (min PIV CPU) gives it capability the Sony box doesn't have. Sony is a lot of fluff, and I hear the new 100 GB Blu-Ray DVD is not even compatible with set top boxes, so they don't even have a size advatage anymore with HD DVD's 3 layer 54 GB DVD's. Just give it time.

The Toshiba A2 is the same as the Toshiba E1 in Germany .
Here it costs about 280 Euros,so if you can get one buy him.
