the parents have used the cash fund raised by wellwishers to pay thier mortgage im sure as two qualified doctors they could have easily afforded to pay from there pay packets ,im also sure the many wellwishers and donators of the fund are chuffed the cash is being used to find maddie

From what I understand the money in the fund was intended for helping to find Madeleine. If the money that the McCanns would have put into their mortgage went into finding their daughter then it seems to make sense to use the fund money to replace it.

I don't think they are what they seem to be, either, but then again here in the U.S. we aren't getting as much of the story, so it's not really my place to say. I did hear on the news, though, that they have not spent any more of that fund on their mortgage since being named suspects officially. Is that true?

That is what has been reported here in the UK media so I assume this is the case.

Thanks. Even though I'm pretty cynical and had about given up on it as a search for a murder victim, I hope there will be a happy ending to the story. Or at least a just one.

An outcome to this would be very good to have, though given the way things are presently, it will probably be later - much much later Jimbuna.:down:
