[REL] Universal 3 Funnel Liner
Hello Kaleun´s
Yesterday i started the work on a 3 Funnel-Liner, based on UBOAT234`s Cunard Liner. VonDos has given me inspiration with his overworked "Aquitania". Today i finished this ship. The Shipdesign is based on most 3 Funnelliners of the 20´s and 30´s and this ship can drive for every Nation. Here some pictures : This Design is like some British Liner : http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...2/ArconaF1.jpg http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...2/ArconaF2.jpg This Design is more Germanstyle : http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...2/ArconaF3.jpg http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...2/ArconaF4.jpg Some other Styles : http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...2/ArconaF5.jpg http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...2/ArconaF6.jpg In the first Picture you can see the ship with the modern Pipes. In the released Version all Pipes are reworked to "Oldstyle". This ship is cloned so bothe Ships, the Aquitania and this one can exist together in one Mission. Here you can download the ship : http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Fert...unnelLiner.rar Credits : Many thanks to UBOAT234 for given me permission to overwork his Cunardliner for my Linerprojekts like this one and the TSBremen which is already released. Special Thanks to VonDos for given me nice inspirations. For more Instructions view the Readme-file ! Hope you all like it .... Greets Maddy |
PERFECT!!!!!!
But I have a question: The original liner isn't very good, because it seems "futuristic" for ww2. In fact the majority of the liners involved in the war were "old style" ones. I would like to replace it with a ship of this type: http://uboat.net/allies/warships/pho..._carinthia.jpg SS Carinthia used as aux. cruiser, sunk by Endrass U-46 or this http://uboat.net/allies/ships/photos...y_of_india.jpg SS Viceroy of India sunk by U-407 Maybe similar displacement, same lenght, but with bow and stern modified to look older...( right bow and maybe a "cruiser stern" like the majority of passenger ships built during 1910-1915) |
@ Linerkiller,
you right, the regular SH3-Liner looks very modern but i have already released two oldstyled Liners. Look here : http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...fe2/KDFRE1.jpg http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...fe2/KDFRE2.jpg http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...fe2/KDFRE4.jpg http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...NewNPLHap1.jpg http://85.25.133.181/Files/mods/Madd...NewNPLHap2.jpg The first one with 2 Funnel got nearly the same mesures like the original SH3-Liner. You can download those bothe here in this forum. Greets Maddy |

@ Linerkiller
They have different folder and class names so will be fine IIRC they all come with GE roster files and I dont think there are many generic GE liner entries Add them to the Br and US rosters and you will see plenty of them |

probably I haven't explained myself very well:roll:
Is pssible to REPLACE the old liner with your twin-funnelled one? Replace means change the "sea" folder of the original ship with the one of your liner... |

Then you will have to rename the new liner EXACTLY as the old one in the Sea folder |
:hmm:
downloading it! |
