Secret Agent Army?
I finally got my copy of SH4, and so far it plays very nicely right out of the box - an improvement over my experience with SH3.
(wait for it... wait.... here it comes....) BUT... I'm on my 4th assigned mission out of Pearl Harbor (Tambor Class) and it's the 4th straight 'deliver an agent to XYZ location'. Was there an overstock of agents in Pearl Harbor in 1942? Why am I busier than a Pizza Hut driver dropping these fellas off all over Japan? Any ideas from the grizzled vets of SubSim? Thx in advance :) |
Does sound ahistorical. American subs down in the Southwest Pacific were given a variety of missions which revolved around supplying guerillas and picking up and dropping off coastwatchers or trapped military or civilan personnel. Can't say I've ever heard of any missions in the war to drop agents off in Japan proper. Would have meant recruiting actual Japanese which after Pearl Harbor we were too paranoid to do. There was one occasion where some frogmen went ashore and set charges on a railroad bridge. But that was late in the war.

Make sure after you complete your mission you send in a radio report before you leave the area. You will get another objective and it will help stop the repeat missions.;)

Kyle,
I sent in a status report while the rubber dinghy was still in sight. I haven't received new orders yet after several hours in game time. How long does it take usually? |
I dropped the guy off and once I saw that in my log the status of my mission changed to complete I set sail and radioed in. I got my new mission instantly (no wait time).
