Strange Crew

What in the heck. My conning officer stares at me like he wants to kill me sometimes. Its like he's just keeping his head straight and his eyes to the left. Could it be vise versa? Does he think I'm gonna shank him or somethin if he looks around a bit? Or hell, maybe if he actually took a look at the freakin map instead of looking at me like I was a freakin steak we wouldn't have ran aground! I can't do everything! Also, why does the helmsman even bother to adjust the EOT? It changes before he can even put his hand on the damn thing. Just Leave it alone man! I know your trying, but damn.
One of the radar watches I have sounds like joan rivers trying to sing La Donna E Mobile after smoking 2 cartons of cigarettes when reporting contacts. It's just so damn annoying:damn: . I went and put a high ablility 3rd class from the DC crew as my conning officer in the place of that googley eyed dude, that'll teach em! This one doesn't stare like the other one did. In recent progress I guess my radarman finally went through puberty because there is a much better voice coming from up the ladder than before thank goodness.

Anyone else have funky crew? Post about your strange crew. Can anyone tell me how to capture pictures also? Thanks all

Take it easy for now.

Oh theres been plenty of discussion on the creepy crew. Ill see if I can find some for you.

There are some here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=108977

Same thread has info on posting images.

Good luck.

If you think YOUR crew is bad,

you should take a look at the crew of the Jap ships. Most of the merchants are walking around in suit coats and ties and look vaguely Italian. And one I saw (wish I'd taken a snap) scared me to death. Imagine Fred Flintstone with a 5 o'clock shadow and wearing a DRESS! And the pilots look like Russians. Someone was really confused when they selected the models for the crew.

Those crew textures really do need work. It's too bad CaptainCox hasn't been around lately, or else I'd imagine he'd have improved them by now. Maybe someone else will pick up the task? :hmm:

Trucker

How do you take the snap shots, or screenshots? And what folder do I find them in. I wish I had taken some of the stuff I have seen before, I just hit print screen quick and hoped it was the right key. How do you take them?
So Italians running around the merchant ships eh? I want to take some shots at the bearded skirted up fred flinstone though. Is that how those damn merchants can keep running around beat to hell sometimes? Flinstone underwater foot power. I bet those Italians in business suits were taking turns on wilma while they made Fred run around in that silly dress :rotfl:

They certainly do. I don't believe I've seen one that even looks vaguely Japanese and the business suits are just too funny to not laugh at. If I knew a little more about skinning 3D objects, I would certainly take a shot at making some changes. Unfortunately, I know just enough about the subject to be able to create a "George Jetson" lookalike. Maybe someday.......

The game has a snapshot button (F11, I believe) and I'm pretty sure the snaps are stored somewhere in the save games folder (usually My Documents\SH4). Personally, I use Hoversnap (available for free at http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm ) for screenshots.

Easiest way in-game is just Ctrl-F11. Works while paused too, so you can compose your shots. The images show up in your main SH4 directory as .bmp files. Happy snapping!

Meanwhile I think I'm going to have to try to find this Flintstone in a dress....:p

Man, and she's one tough broad, too: I heard from one skipper that she'll jump overboard, swim to your sub... and strangle your crew with her bare hands.

'Course, that skipper was well into his cups at Hale Wahine when he told me that... :hmm:
