GWX: refuel/rearm during missions?

during my mission, i docked at another Axis port to restock torpedoes - however, my ship ended up spending an entire month in north africa before letting me leave again.

i thought the milk cow mod etc. would place some german suppy ships for inter-mission supply, but without 1-month waiting periods?

so will i spend a month "in port" whenever i dock at an Axis port or supply ship?

Question

Are you using SH3 commander? If not this might be the reason why.

With SH3 commander you can dock at any axis port and resupply then be out within 24hrs. It works alongside GWX too.

Get it here:

Not sure though if you can now install it and use with your current career you may have to start a new one???

I believe sh3 commander can take effect mid-patrol, nevermind mid-career

There are two possible reasons for that:

1. If you are not using SH3Cmdr there is the possibility that the milk-cow or friendly port is treated like a normal port. Therefore you will spend 24 days there before leaving again. (I'm not 100% sure about the way "stock GWX" treats milk-cows though as I'm always using SH3Cmdr)

2. Your boat has been damaged before docking. If this is the case (it's the same with and without SH3Cmdr) then you will spent 1 day in port per every percentage point of Hull Integrity lost.

Install SH3 Commander...create a new career....set the days in port between patrols to whatever your after....when you visit a supply ship or milch cow SH3 Commander will dock you for one day plus (as mel said "you will spent 1 day in port per every percentage point of Hull Integrity lost") Plus an extra day for the stopover :arrgh!:

that should answer my questions, thanks.
and i do have SH3 commander installed, guess i just didnt use the career option given there (only made some time compression adjustments).

Scratching my head here........

I pulled into a Milkcow......somewhere by the Canary Islands? Can't remember now.

They refueled me okay. But did not restock my torpedos.......

So I've been under the impression that you'll get fuel only and will only get torps restocked when you get back to home port.....

Apparently I'm wrong?

You should be refuelled, rearmed, reprovisioned and have medals awarded. Everything but equipment upgrades.

I expect Brag got there first so they were out of torps
:arrgh!:

Does this formula apply even if you set SHIII-C to 1 day in port. Something I didn't know anyway, interesting.

Yes it do!!!

I pulled in at a milkcow, had my day's in port set to 2, refueling and reload out of weapons should take no longer. But then it showed 26 days had passed! :o

Oh yah, forgot about that brush with some plans earlier! My hull had gotten damaged.

Sailor Steve 10-11-07 11:03 AM

That's pretty funny, spending nearly a month with a milchkuh making hull repairs!:rotfl:

Jimbuna 10-11-07 12:17 PM

Don't forget that as well as one day per % point you also get the additional day added (not much I know, but an extra day all the same). :hmm:
