fair weather bug?
i'm surfaced chasing down a C2 that had 2 eels put into its side. they were the last. i can't use the deck gun cuz the weather is good, seas calm totally clear skys with the bridge watch in foul weather gear with a promt saying i can't use the gun in rough weather:-? . there any way to fix this? had no choice but to let the d@mm thing go and RTB:damn: . this is without GWX, but a few secondary GWX mods.

Hmmm...I seem to recall having the same kind of problem, before I started using GWX.
This might sound stupid, but did you try diving and then surfacing again? Also, what was the wind speed? |
Had a similar problem last night. Disabled a cruise ship with my last eel, and went to finish her off with a few rounds, but couldn't man the gun because...... it was raining.:88)
Dead flat sea, with a bit of fog and rain and a deck gun crew with a pig of a union leader who wouldnt let them man their station.:nope: |
Depends on wind speed, can change the following line:
StormConditions=11,0.4;max wind speed in the data\Submarine\NSS_UboatXX\NSS_UboatXX.cfg file, try changing to 13,0.:yep: |

Personally, sounds like there is a scene.dat issue. Although, this bug usually manifests itself in the reverse. i.e Stormy, Rain, Fog etc but your crew report clear skies. |

You say the seas are calm with clear skies. Did you ask for a weather report? One of the problems in stock SH3 was that the game would claim heavy weather, but the graphic would appear calm. This was why I started using the 'Big Waves' mod.

Do a tweak of the weather defalts. I'd change the wind speed up to 11 to 13 and the rain from 0.1 to 1.0 then the only reason they wouldn't go out to man the weapons is if there in the middle of the gale.
Now I have to go, some rebel cur has become too outspoken and needs a taste of the lash!:arrgh!: |
