[TEC] clipboard

Can anyone direct me to the clipboard files that contain the messages that are sent to the sub? Looking to change some of these messages!

leovampire 09-23-07 04:46 PM

what kind of messages AVGWarhawk?

radio type or others?

AVGWarhawk 09-23-07 06:19 PM

What I'm looking for Leo is the file that has the clipboard messages. Like, "Borneo is under attack, any boats in the area that can assist...."

leovampire 09-23-07 06:21 PM

radio messages in the campaigns file

is what you are looking for. That s how I added all the messages for the new Jap Airbases that come into play in the game.

It can only be added to a game while in base though will not work in a save game of any other type.

Heres my thing, Taters new campaign mod starts you before Dec 7. On Dec 7 a message is received and I open the clipboard to read it and all it has is -message content. I want to fill that in.

leovampire 09-23-07 06:28 PM

go into the

Data / campain / campaigns file and look for the messages note pad.

Find the message Tater made and add what you want it to say and then save it.

But it can only be added to the game on inbase saves or you will get a CTD

I saw the same thing and I wondered if I had screwed something up when I restarted my career. Glad to hear it wasn't my fault :D

AVGWarhawk 09-23-07 06:35 PM

I see messages in there I have never seen before

leovampire 09-23-07 06:36 PM

Airbase nav map mod I made.

Can I change some of these that are already there?

leovampire 09-23-07 06:40 PM

yes I did in my mod

just have to make sure they do not extend into another message

and by adding stops in between parts of the message "X" it makes it show up better on the message you get to read in game

I'm going to lose some of the silly things in there and add some real information pertaining to message.

AVGWarhawk 09-23-07 06:44 PM

Under the date column, is this the date the tranmission will go out? I see the date of the 7th, enemy attack on pearl, this is not a drill. I never see this. Can I change the date to the 8th?

leovampire 09-23-07 06:56 PM

I personaly like to put the messages in order

seems to make them function a lot better.

So if you change a date start time make sure it is in order in the file to make sure it is sent properly.

Like if I change a date on a message I to a time after another one would happen then I cut the message and paste it in a spot after the other one so the date and times run in order of appearance in the file.

AVGWarhawk 09-23-07 07:04 PM

I have changed a lot of the silly corny stuff. Found some misspelled words.
