It would be nice if the manual had all the controlls
No where in the manuel that i can find tells you how to take a photograph, All it says it you have missions to do so. All it has is controlls for the free camera so if i have that off i have no camera at all thus the photograph missions cannot be done. anyone no how to take a picture?

The manual sucks, use it for something other than the game :yep:
There are some excellent guides in the stickies. When you get a chance, check them out. You use the camera with the Observation Periscope., when using and and when you have a target, the camera on the Hud lights up, that is when you take a pic, by clicking on the camera icon. A post from the camera\photo sticky: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...93&postcount=9 RDP |
It would be nice if the manual wasent a half assed knock off from SH3.

To complete a photo mission you have to:
1) maneuver the boat within visual distance of the target 2) raise the scope and lock a ship(any ship should do) from the target harbor 3) left-click the scope icon in the command bar, and then the camera icon below and to the right of it 4) lower the scope and get the hell out of there You usually get the "objective completed" radio message immediately after taking the picture. If not, just lock another ship and retry. |

Plus, the manual that was written had 150 pages, but the one found in the box is a lot smaller. No one knows what happened with all those pages. |

Hopefully like this first poster here, newer players will see past the inadequate manual and ask questions versus shelving the game at the get go. Compared to it's initial release, it is an entirely different game. 1.3 and mods have made a big difference. RDP |
there's one keyboard command i wouldn't mind having, since there's already one for silent running. need it for my FANG

Thanks much guys

Wonder what was on those pages ? Couldent they be posted on the website as an addendum ? Or did they vanish off the face of the earth ? |
Uses for the manual
One that I don't recommend: toilet paper. Although at first thought it seems the most appropriate use, the high clay content of the paper renders it not very absorbent and makes the edges stiff enough to be the equivalent of dozens of sharp knives in a place where they certainly do not belong.
However, in addition to being nicely flammable, the clay content slows down the burning, resulting in some great kindling for starting a charcoal grill. So who brought the steaks? |
