I remember playing the Collin McRae Rally games. He died in a helicopter crash?

Sad.

Seems like we lose more race car drivers from them flying their own planes/helis than on the track.

Just saw this on the news, latter today there will be a conformation.

A sad lost to the world of motor rallying.

McRae was one of the first rally car drivers I heard about, through a rally-mad friend of mine back in middle school. He will be sadly missed.

What with Richard Burns dying not so long ago too, it's been a bad couple of years in the rally world. :nope:

His 5 year old son was aboard the helicopter too.

A 6 year old and a 37 year old also......bloody hell, it just gets worse :nope:

Valentino Rossi dedicated his Moto GP win today to Colin McRae.
Rossi... "He was one of my heros"

I'm sorry to hear of his accident, and that others, including his son were involved. I hope his wife and daughter are getting the support they need at this upseting time.:cry:
