Can someone possibly help me to solve this error?
 

I am feeling very frustrated. I spent over two hours installings mods and stuff so I could enjoy my Silent Hunter 4 with its full potential. However, when I start the game and its loading the main menu, the loading always stops at like 99% and I get this error note:

Can someone possibly identify this problem?

Post the mods you have installed, looks like something conflicting with the menu_1024_768 settings.

I also installed some skins for the submarines but I can't see how those could cause the problem.

Are you using the latest patch (1.3)? Because if you are you have a lot of pointless or outdated mods. I'd be surprised if it worked properly.

That's a good point SD, also you may want to try Trigger Maru ( latest version ), it has many mods combined, ramps up the AI, has great graphic enhancements, etc. Checkout the FAQ\read-me.

My guess would be the mini chronometer. Uninstall that and see if the error goes away.

I don't really know how things have gone with the patches and mods. I bought Silent Hunter 4 as soon as it was released but I was so frustrated with the bugs and I quit playing (playing the good old well modded Silent Hunter III =S) until now, deciding to give it another shot.

Well, it is good to know now why the game wasn't working all properly.

Yup, that was it. Thanks. In any case, with the new information I have now, I decided to reinstall the game after a while (having installed most of the mods manually, and knowing now why the game wasn't working properly). What mod/s would you recommend for the latest patch (which are not pointless or outdated and actually do something then =P. I enjoy increased realism, graphic enhancements - skins and so on; and misc things)?

I think your going to really like Trigger Maru 1.6.2. It includes a bunch of those mods you listed. Get CaptainCox's mods too also great. Then find some other things you might like. I added the new Natural Sinking Mechanics (full version) over TM. I was thinking on getting tater's new campain layers too. but thats all i'm running for now.
