turn off the radio
 

I bet it has been asked before, but I searched the forums and didn't find a thread about it: Is there a way to turn off the radio messages?
I just thought about starting a new career in '39 but then remembered that there'll be a lot of messages that will slow down the tc very often.

I do recognize the effort that was necessary to create all those messages but at the moment I just want a quick ride. :oops:

But don't forget that if you don't man your radio, you will not recieve contact reports.

Or rename/remove the messages file in your SHIII\data\Campaigns\Campaign folder.... make sure to select the file appropriate for the language you have selected in the game.

Will take away only the extra messages but might kill the immersion.

You'll miss the imersion.... And all those helpful messages from the BDU...... :yep:

The contactreports will remain the same but the other messages are for sure worth to keep in....

In my last patrol i got several messages between BDU & U-333. Turned out they had torpedoed a German steamer. The back & forth of the message was quite funny and i even thought to myself how that captain was going to be in trouble when he got back to port :rotfl:

Later did some checking via the website uboat.net and later read in that captains bio that this had actually happened :o

personally, I like getting radio messeges. I dont think i get enough. but thats just me

No, it's not just you. I can't wait for the new, improved Radiolog mod with even more messages.:up:

It's not the messages between boats and bdu but the repeating okw-stuff. It can be frustrating to rise the tc over and over again because of messages you've already received in your five careers before.

I'm just thinking it sure doesn't sound like you'll be to happy with the radiolog_eXpansion mod when it's done. :hmm:
