Hospital Ships (how to)
 

So Admiral Donitz ordered my uboat u-125 to ignore all Geneva Convention rules and sink any and all Hospital ship. What Admiral Donitz doesn't realize that I get penalized for sinking such ships. So how do I edit SH3 and change the renown value of these ships? Is it easy for someone who hasn't done this before? If someone is kind enough to help me out, please leave detailed instructions on how to do it...thanks alot!

These planned sinks that I want to do will be in response to the Dresden raid...sorry no guilty conscience.

In short: Don't do it. I'm guessing the order to sink the hospital ships came as a radio message in-game? In which case it is for flavor only and can be safely ignored. You won't get a renown loss for not obeying.

In short: Don't sink hospital ships, as doing so carries a 10 000 renown penalty. But yes, you can edit their renown rate to 0 or even a positive value and start hunting them.

what file whould I edit to change the renown of a hospital ship? Is it in the sea folder?

what is your guys problem, I was just joking around. You guys need to realize that it's just a game. And I have no idea where you got the idea that this has to do with hate! All I have to say is wow!

This is the problem of internet, you really cant tell if someone's joking or not.

You are right that it is just a game. HOWEVER, a little more thought before you post would be appropriate as well. Making a joke out of such things will offend more than just me. People from all over the world read this forum.

The problem is he accused me of hate, when I'm 100% the opposite. I've spent my whole live reading, collecting, and worshiping the grounds of our beloved veterans. As I'm sure most of the rest of the die hard GWX players. Just because I want to play “total warfare”in a game, I'm accused of spreading hate? So now I've be tagged as some ******* on this forum, and other readers/posters are going to give me less respect now. The sad thing was I was enjoying reading this forum at least 4 times a day and was looking into donating money because I've used it so much. Because of GWX and subsim I've dumped another $500 in to my book collection reading up on the navy side of WWII (I've mostly focused on British land campaigns). Perhaps people need to stop, take a breath, and think before they post negative comments about another user.

As you can tell Im new to these boards... but Im an old hag over at (cough) UbI. While I have one of the Co-Designers her... I would like to know what the probabilty rate is ... when you guys designed the add on, during a convoy that 3 Whale Ships would be in the Convoy with many other large Cargos and Tankers ? Thanks !

Discussions on ethics tend to grow far more serious than talks about conduct in a make-belief game. Give it a few posts and people will tell you that in war you need to kill with extreme prejudice or be ready to convert to Islam... or something like that. Anyways, trust me, discussions on what to sink and not sink are a big no-no here:rotfl:.

And it ain't over yet. First there'll be another, final installment of GWX, and then at some point I'll finish my NorOps project and things will get even better - not to mention other modders that will make their work compatible with GWX. My mouth waters. [/shameless promotion]
