Newb question: how the hell do I make a snapshot?!

Hey everyone.

I got a little issue over SH4. Apparently, some (most) instructions in my manual strangely does not fit the real stuff when it comes to targeting, and I just can't find some buttons, especially the one which is supposed to stand for the notepad (I suppose something that looks like its SH3 counterparts) which has a magical "x" that may allow me to reset all data in a single click and make a good and simple bearing shot.
Apparently, even when I reset manually speed and distance
(sending false data to the TDC) it is not enough to make a shot of this kind, and the torpedo goes elsewhere, but not in the direction my crosshairs are looking at...

I am sure the answer is quite an easy one, but if someone could help me there, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

AJ

The manual sucks :yep: For guides, etc., have a look here:http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=108931

Screenshots, ctrl + F11, they end up in your Main SH4 Folder as .bmps'

Also, your best manual is this forum, ask nicely and folks will respond. Also, do a search before hand and some of your questions may already have been answered.

Oops sorry, what I meant wasn't a screenshot - I meant a bearing shot for my torpedoes ;) sorry if it wasn't clear at all :D

They totally screwed up that manual. Those lines you're quoting about the notepad are flat out errors. It's clear they copied that stuff directly from the SH3 manual and it doesn't apply to SH4. There is no notepad or x button...

In SH4 if you click the send button it's like ordering "Mark".

I posted my suggestion for how to use the TDC without turning on the PK in the attack tactics thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=134

No worries mate, have a look at ABs' post  Oh yes, use the manual as a coaster, for camp fires, ets, etc. But don't let is discourage you about SH4, it is an enjoyable one once you get the hang of it.
