Official 07/08 NikiMcbee NFL Thread
http://youtube.com/watch?v=IPlEnC4SdCA
 "The Thread" is BACK!!! Welcome to the OH-ficial, 100% Niki McBee NFL thread. Last year's thread was a smashing success, so this is part II. If you are new to the thread:cool: , here's the rules: Only professional (and some amature) trash talking is allowed. No personal insults; IE: Bort is [insert insult here], 'cause he likes da Bears. One exception; you can make fun of Neal's smashing haircut:D IF he makes "the BET" again.:rotfl: :dead: wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Other than that, you can sling all the mud you want. NOTE: THIS NOT A SOCCER THREAD!!!!! So, any other forms of "football" will be made fun of here! So, if you want to talk soccer (football:shifty: ), there are plenty of other high quality, soap opera threads on the internet. NOTE #2: CFL football-talk is allowed, but since you are using second-hand NFL players, you run the risk of being made fun of here. Nevertheless, you can hang out here, even if you use the metric system. NOTE #3: I'm sick of hearing about Vick! I don't want to sort through 14 pages of Vick rants to get to the good stuff. So, unless you are talking about how Micheal Vick was framed by Phil Knight and Nike Corp to get that loser Joey a starting postion, I don't want to hear it! Anyway, here goes nutin'.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCwmBTLJm0c 2007-08 Football predictions... Peyton rules the Universe.... Bort is still passed out (face down) in the nachos behind the couch after the Bears crushing loss... Neal has a full head of hair again.... Ol McBee has ordered a pallet full of nacho-cheese,salsa, chips and diet rootbeer to endure another heartbreaking Viking season.:lost: 1. Brett Fav-ray is still playing!?! When the yellow-jackets and Ensure wears off, you cheeseheads are screwed... 2. So, did Romo practice ball handling in the off-season? 3. Da Bears, well... Can Rex survive another season of Takeda insults? 4. Everyone must cheer for Da' Raiders...As Neal MAY move this thread to blendersim or tractorsim pages to save the public humiliation of last years performance. 5. I have no idea who the Viking players are this year? All I worry about: Must beat Packers, Bears, and Lions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYngqjNmUwk Can you hear the Viking battle horns?!?! 6. Will Randy Moss help or destroy the Patriots? 7. Detroit Lions [queue laugh track now] 8. Saints...Who gunno beat dem saints? 9. Can Peyton repeat? 10. The Chargers still have the best theme song in the NFL! 11. ...As the dude on ESPN radio said: Atlanta, you guys are screwed.:rotfl: 12. Will I make it to a Seahawks game this year? Torplexed are you out there??? So post your predictions here!!! |
I'm hoping to see the 49ers continue their long hard road to becoming a winning team again. I can't make any predictions yet, but I'm at the very least hoping they do well enough to make it to the playoffs.

I may use this system to predict games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsZUn...related&search= :rotfl: Just for Bort: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzo9o...related&search= |

Anyway, this thread will receive official protection. Any off topic post will be subject to deletion. I think it's great that you only like Austrialian rules rugby, and that you think that American football is for little girls. Go start your own thread to that effect. Let us Americans have our girly game. EDIT: Stickied. If the World Cup fans get their own [albeit temporary] forum, then this is at least deserving of a sticky until after the Superbowl. |
It will be a tough year, but ya' gotta stick with your team, go Packers

Prediction from me: Chicago and New England will implode this year. Both disasters will be triggered by poor offense. On the flip side: Cleveland and Minnesota will make the playoffs. Defensive turn-arounds will trigger the change. |
Panthers slaughtered twice. Could've expected that from the Pats, but the Eagles?!
|
So long as the Denver Broncos don't get into the playoffs I'll be happy.
|
Go Chargers!
|
Randy Moss to prove the doubters wrong and help the Patriots go one better this year.
|
Baltimore Ravens! Now, if only the quarterback would show up to play instead of looking like he is there for a picnic like he did at the playoffs perhaps I have something going.

Hoooo! Stifle that blasphemy, mister ;) I did watch the Panthers vs. Patriots, and although we got beat, I did see some very good things from our draftee Beason. Could be a good defensive player to tailor in the Peppers/Rucker mould maybe? Carolina's pass game could also use some work. Delhomme needs to be careful of three things: 1) Dont rely too heavily on Steve Smith - other teams figured this out last year and double teamed him all the time. We have other talented recievers in Colbert and Carter. 2) Dont get frustrated when a pass is dropped. I've seen his reactions and they tell me he doesnt like it. Deal with it Jakey boy, its part of the game. 3) Dont be afraid to use play action. I didnt see it once in our pre-season game, and after 2 run plays it might be worth a try for those crucial few yards for the first. And as to whether Dan Morgan can stay injury free for this season, I just dont know. However, his presence does seem to do something to the Panthers' defense - it'd be useful to have him around. |
