Can I really neuter this DD?
Only one left on the convoy I'm currently eradicating. The sleaze is just getting annoying, and I don't want to waste a torp on Her. My thought was to sneak up at night, and plant a couple quick rounds of 105 into the stern blowing the DC racks. Can Her crew fix it? Will they stay boomed? Am I just trying to commit suicide?

You are trying to commit suicide.

No they won't repair it untill you are out of contact from them. I"d sink the destroyer, surface and play hell with the surface craft!:arrgh!: You also didn't say what year your in, if it's pre 42' then follow my advice, if post 42 ingore and sink as many merchants as you can!

Here is some generic advice :) :
Sneak between escorts and aim at what ever you can. Then Do what you do best to avoid DC from that bottering DD. Afterwards, you get to kill the lifeline of the enemy and piss off their defenders :smug: I couldn't feel better doing that at your place but that's me :) |

fire a eel at the DD. surface when its sunk. mann the DG and fire both at the merchie's  |

DO NOT DUKE IT OUT ON THE SURFACE WITH AN ESCORT. If you are going to engage her, use torpedos. :arrgh!:
|
He also did not mention what mods he has installed, if any. That will make a huge difference whether to engage or not.

Mohr is right.:hmm:
argh, that's not something I'd expected to say anytime :D nevertheless if it's one eel for one DD and you then have an undefended convoy..... go for it :arrgh!: |

Well I decided to play it sane. Fed the wench a genuine Vaterland eel-dog. Suddenly she devloped a terminal case of indigestion. After that it was a feast of raw lamb for this Wolf. Ran out of internals, and Enid was gettin hot, so we skulked away with a skoosh over 75Kt of Brit on the bottom. Not a bad day.
