a T3 down in 1 torp!
 

Was in the middle of a convoy, escorted by 2 Flower class corvettes and happen to see a T3 on my stern at not a very good angle, but since she was close i decided to fire anyway - than i heard a terrific explosion - i swing the scope to 200deg and was this T3 explode and sink in 2 - what a sight - and it was only 1 torp - quite certain it was set to Magnetic!

Very good. Sounds like you're using Stock SHIII. both in stock and GWX, you can sink large ships with one torp if hitting them correctly. Stock: front end of the stack. GWX in front of forward mast.

God knows where it hit but yes I am using stock SH3.

It could have being carrying petrol or avaition fuel, thats what could have caused the big bang..

If you fire a torpedo on a critical area (fuel tank or engine room) in stock SH3 the ship can actually explode. In NYGM and GWX things are a little bit more complicate than that ;)
