Back in 1997, they nabbed one while it was still in dry-dock. They make these things up in the mountains, then float them down the rivers to the open sea. After that, I suspect they're usually towed around the Horn by hooking it to a series of large international freighters that have been bribed to pay no attention.

Fuel records would be a problem, since expected fuel consumption would be off from the drag.

If they were smart, they would have painted it grey.

Heh...if they were smart they would have secured the cargo better and made it innaccesable to the crew.
