How to use this torp? Its speed is so slow,so it can't catch up the DD of enemy.

It's a sucker-punch, check how this page says that the skipper of the USS Bergall "waggled" his scope in plain view of a tin can trying to get it close enough to set fido on him.

these things are frakkin $$$$:o need to sink a lotta carriers:-?. these would be good for loading in the stern tubes as a little suprise:ping: and if they're short enuff for 2 to a rack, would that mean SH4 boats can carry twice as many?:-?

Your better firing one at 40,000 then another at 30,000 as 9 times out of ten a destroyer is going flat out in a straight line, another way of using them get right in the middle of a convoy and save them for the destroyers as they creep in towards you as they will be restricted on there moment with all the merchants in there.

I used them last night to smash the harbor patrols take my snapshot of a flattop then attacked and sunk both of them :D trouble is the boss as so pleased he wants me to go back  on the next patrol.

My last patrol I used the Mk 27 in all tubes as well as in the reserve. I too was unfamiliar with the "abilities" of this torp and was amused and dismayed at the same time.

This last patrol was one of my lower scoring patrols. I'm currently back in port and probably not using the 27s again.
