Kind of funny--I don't know if it's my sound card or what but that's what a crewman says when I cancel Battle Stations. : ) It's very clear.

Sounds like a driver issue.

I've experienced the exact same thing. I had the ultimate sound mod installed and had the same anomally with securing from battle stations as you have.

I'd recommend a reinstall of SH4, and if you have the sound mod installed, get rid of it...

Cheers!

All I can say is "Rudder Rudder" :p

NefariousKoel 08-16-07 03:06 PM

Rudder Rudder

I rarely get an extremely loud flushing sound that hits about 90 decibels and makes me p!ss myself whilst jumping a foot in the air. It lasts about 3 or 4 seconds and it's so loud I go cross-eyed for a time afterwards.

Isn't this something what happens when you leave the battle stations on for "too long" and when you secure from the battle stations, it also releaves the current watch

Same old, same old. Not drivers,Or sound pac mod.,not useing it.Also getting "dive dive" when surfaceing from decks awash :hmm: .

Ducimus 08-16-07 03:25 PM

I must be blessed, haven't heard any of that except "rudder" from the officer in the control room, and the helmsman repeating the command. Hence, "rudder, rudder".

Shame ubi didn't make the helms just say, "aye aye sir" or something like that. I know the protocal is to repeat the order, but at least finish the repeat if your going to.

With the out of box version, sometimes id get a really deep voice from my XO, hed sound like a 400 pound black guy when ordering a dive.

Fortunantley i havent had any probs since 1.3
