Campaign question

I'm playing an older version of SH4 on my back up system.First time I have tried to play a campaign,its RFB 1.27 with a lot of mods added.I'm told to patrol around the Marshall Islands.I'm there and nothing is happening,what do I do? How long do I patrol.Any help is appreciated....:D

Arrive 50 nm from star,patrol area for 48 hrs.,refresh map by + -, to see star go gray,& keep an eye on message log for complete.Send patrol reports.

The stock game has no traffic in the marshall islands. Or the gilberts. None at truk, either (the japanese Pearl harbor, go figure)
