yes, that's the amount that the lovely M-35B (Empire freighter, I think)

i don't know how it's possible, not even a battleship can take 5.....

over how long a period of time?

you will notice that many times and more often than not if you send one or two torpedoes and observe the target for a few hours it will eventually sink... even if it does continue to chug along at 4 or 5 knots from time to time.

yup it is, i disabled the Rodney from 3000 (lucky) in bad weather. by the time the DDs left me alone i got into viewing distance and she was listing badly, i put my last torp in her the finish her off.
