Ending a Mission
Hi Guys
Just wondering how close do you need to be to base to end the patrol and not ose any renown I usually just go right up to the dock and exit then but does it matter if I just finish 100k's out, I just don't want to lose renown, anybody answer this one for me ? Cheers Easty |
You can end your patrol in a radius of 25 km within the port.
|
Usually, I will pull all the way in to port. I mean, what's another 25km, plus it's pretty cool to ride in victorious.
|
I don't think you lose any renown everywich way, even when 'teleporting' home from, say, the Atlantic.
@Smoking Tep: Dito :up: |
Sorry to say this, but you do loose renown, or better say you don't earn extra renown if you hit ESc and then "Return to Base".
The only way to take all the renown possible from every patrol is sailing all the way to your base. ;) CapZap |
Ah..... so you don't loose 'sunk' renown, but you miss the 'bonus' for really sailing home? :hmm:
And HAH! You guys thought the Navy Dude avatar sucked LOL |

Personally my missions tend to end in a lot of floating debris and 43 telegrams being sent to loved ones. A lot less time consuming than sailing back I find:)
|
I don't mind sailing back into port...I'm based at Lorient. But it's a bummer when you are setting out for patrol and just want to get to the open sea and the TC won't go above x1 at Lorient :damn:
I understand why though, the tight waterway and all, mines and sub nets. Patience laddie, patience...:arrgh!: |
I always sail all the way home.
As the war progreses you'd be amazed just what turns up just outside your own doorstep. Though you might die..... A lot :rotfl: |
