Radar

I'm getting Radar contacts but I don't have it installed. It's January 42 in my patrol. Where can I find out more info on the subs?:hmm:

If I'm not mistaken, it's the Air Search radar what's giving you contacts. It's not mannable station

Thanks man.;)

Search, search, search, search, people. It's not difficult.

I did a search first.

And there is nothing wrong with asking a question. There are lots of people who are glad to help out new players and make them feel welcome at Subsim.com.

Especially with the manual for SH4 being what it is and the radar being less than intuitive.

I still get SD and SJ confused sometimes :88) (by name anyway)

So does that mean the radar is on all the time and does that also mean you can be detected by enemy ESM equipment?

Only by enemy that had ESM equipment. I suppose it also depends at what stage the war was at.

Detection of radar waves isn't implemented in this game.

Japanese radar isn't implemented in this game.

Have fun :)
