The ship sinking due to the grain swelling and causing the seems to give way reminds me of a Hornblower episode!:arrgh!: I belive it was rice that caused the ships to sink!

IIRC, there was a tale of a Uboat that torpedoed a ship carrying corn in the Atlantic, a fire broke out on the ship, and the corn promptly swelled up, turning into a form of popcorn, and the ship wouldn't sink! :lol:
